Bis acrylamide N’N’-Methylenediacrylamide It’s a cross-linking agent in used in the preparation of polyacrylamide gels. Tested for its efficiency in gel polymerization. The porosity of the gel is determined by the chain length and the degree of cross-linking. Most sequencing gels use a ratio of 1 molecule of cross-linker for every 19 monomers of acrylamide. Synonym: N,N'-Methylenebis(2-propenamide) Molecular Formula: C7H10N2O2 Molecular Weight: 154.17 g/mol Size: 100g Specifications: Purity: ≥ 99.0% Identity [IR]: Passes tests Free acrylic acid: ≤ 0.05% Water: ≤ 0.05% Sulfate: ≤ 0.006% Conductivity (µmhos): ≤ 10 Iron: ≤ 1 ppm negative Heavy metals (Pb): ≤ 0.001% Appearance: white crystalline powder Storage: RT * Solutions should be stable at 2-8°C for at least a year if stored protected from light.
