Acrylic acid amide High Purity Grade Acrylamide as a monomer used to form polymers and copolymer according to the synthetic process it is submitted to. In the presence of free radicals, usually in aqueous solutions, acrylamide is readily polymerized. In biochemistry, it is mainly used in combination with suitable cross-linkage agents to prepare polyacrylamide gels for electrophoresis separation techniques. Synonym: Acrylic acid amide Molecular Formula: C3H5NO Molecular Weight: 71.08 g/mol Size: 500g Specifications: Purity: ≥ 99.5% pH (50g/l, H2O, 20°C): 5.5 - 7.5 Free acrylic acid: ≤ 0.005% Solubility (50% w/v; water): clear Iron: ≤ 1 ppm negative Heavy metals (Pb): ≤ 5 ppm DNase/RNase: not detected Appearance: white crystalline Storage: RT * Solutions should be stable at 2-8°C for at least a year if stored protected from light.
